Relax Your Soul With Meditation

Although meditation is a commonly heard word today, few people practice it through experience and assimilation. Many methods can be said to start the application, but this can be given to those who want to start. Even if the person who starts to practice it wants to experience it every time, he/she will not be able to describe exactly what its fruit is, but he/she will feel it.

What is Meditation?

What exactly the meaning of this word means should be found out by his/her own experience. Although the experience is real, the recipe varies from person to person. To better understand meditation, it is first necessary to know how modern science categorizes the mind. Subconscious mind can be divided into 3 groups as lower mind, middle mind and upper mind.

Lower mind: It deals with the coordination of various activities of the body such as breathing and circulation. This part is the area of the mind that causes instinctual impulses and is the part where complexes, phobias, fears and obsessions manifest.

Middle mind: This is the part that deals with the data we use while awake. It analyzes incoming data, makes comparisons and draws conclusions. Here is the part of the mind that finds the answers. For example, most of us have questions that are stuck in our minds because they can't answer at that moment, a time passes and the answer comes to the surface of consciousness. The middle mind unwittingly does the problem solving process. Also, it is the field of rational and intellectual thinking.

Upper mind: It is the area of super consciousness. It is the source of intuition, inspiration, happiness and transcendent experiences. Geniuses get their instant creative enlightenment from this region. This part is the source of deeper information. We are only aware of some of the events reflected in consciousness during our waking hours, and these are usually activities that take place in the middle mind. For example, the part responsible for reading and understanding these words is the middle mind.

Another part of the mind is the collective unconscious, which Carl Jung played a major role in his scientific acceptance. In this part of the mind are records of the activities of our evolutionary past; It contains records of the activities of our horses and archetypes. It is this part that connects us to all other people, because it is in this area that the detailed blueprint of our common past lies.

Behind all these different parts of the mind is the self or the essence of existence. It is the self that sheds light on everything we do, even if we are not aware of it. Most of us assume that the ego is the center of our being, but the ego is just another part of the mind. It is the self that illuminates even the ego.

How to Meditate?

When we meditate, we can move our consciousness around different parts of the mind. Normally our consciousness is restricted to the surface activities of the middle mind or the rational part of the subconscious. In this way, we move away from the intellectualization (excessive reasoning) process.

It is a normal experience for beginners to have strange images appearing on the screen of the mind or the emergence of deep-seated complexes that they had not previously noticed. Fears that you didn't realize you had before can come out through meditation. This is because with meditation, consciousness moves to the lower mind, which is about our complexes and fears. Consciousness, which was previously only aware of the consequences of these fears, begins to shed light on the complexes and fears of depression, hatred, anger. When we face our deep-rooted complexes, it becomes possible to eliminate them and happiness slowly begins to enter our lives. This requires both great courage and patience.

Effects of Meditation

A person suddenly begins to find himself in a state of deep meditation. Let alone calming the mind and opening the doors of secret rooms, it takes serious work and dedication to show you where these rooms are, even to be aware of their existence. The great thing about meditation is that when done regularly, after a while, even if you're not meditating, it gives you instant answers, whether you're awake or asleep, through various whispers, images, or sudden ideas. Once you start navigating the different parts of consciousness, Pandora's Box has been opened.
The Effect of Meditation on the Subconscious

It is difficult to reach higher states of meditation without removing many of the compelling fears that reside in our lower mind. Sometimes the complexes in our minds are so compelling that it is impossible to enter deep meditation phases because they almost automatically draw the attention of consciousness to them. While there are many other areas that consciousness can go to, it is drawn to the activities of the lower mind just as a magnet is attracted to iron. Consciousness takes a perverse pleasure in addressing our fears, phobias, and anxieties.

The Effect of Super Consciousness

In the higher stages of meditation, consciousness moves to the upper mind, the super-awareness (super-conscious) realm. Consciousness rises above rational thought and we come closer to reality. One ascends to a dimension of inspiration and enlightenment. He begins to discover deeper truths and facts. The person transitions to new living spaces, new dimensions of being and self-self, which until now has only been imagined and seemed impossible.
The pinnacle of meditation is self-actualization. This is only possible when one goes beyond the upper mind. Consciousness ceases to explore the mind and identifies with the essence of being, the self. At this point the mind becomes pure awareness. When a person succeeds in realizing himself, it means that the person has contacted their own center, their essence, and they begins to look at their being and life from the point of view of the self, not from the point of view of the ego. When one begins to act from the core of one's being, the body and mind begin to act as almost separate units. Body and mind are no longer persons; they are just a reflection of your true self. The purpose of meditation can be seen as exploring different parts of the mind and ultimately transcending the mind completely.
